Therapeutic Approach
I take an integrative, client-centered approach to therapy, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), family systems theory, and psychodynamic principles to meet each client's unique needs. I believe that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, collaboration, and respect.
Together, we explore how past experiences, family dynamics, and current patterns influence thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while identifying practical strategies to support lasting change. I help clients develop insight, strengthen emotional regulation, improve interpersonal relationships, and build effective coping skills. My approach is individualized, recognizing that each person's experiences, strengths, and goals are unique.
I also value a holistic perspective on mental health by considering lifestyle factors that can influence emotional well-being, including sleep, stress management, movement, and nutrition. When appropriate, I incorporate education about the connection between nutrition and mental health as one component of overall wellness, recognizing the important role that physical health can play in supporting emotional resilience and psychological well-being.
My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to better understand themselves, navigate life's challenges, and build lasting, meaningful change.
